Disney's The Black Hole: End Sequence
Wow. I was pretty creeped out watching this sequence again. I don't think I've really took it all in when I was a kid.
Reinhardt ends up trapped and enslaved inside the robot he created. Powerless and immobile. Maximilian with his limbs extended looks like a horned devil figure stood upon the mountain. Surrounded by skeletons wearing black hooded capes as the crew ascend through a corridor of light.
Classic Christian imagery, plus a fantastic music score from John Barry.
Powerful stuff from Disney.
